Localization efforts
BMW Brilliance also considers the ZINORO one of the milestone achievements of its localization strategy, which is the basis of success of the BMW Group in China.
In 2013, the BMW Group delivered more than 390,000 cars in China, and BMW Brilliance contributed more than 50 percent to this new sales record.
"This would not have been possible without our continued investment in Shenyang, our continued efforts to bring our brand and our products to the customer via a leading dealer network throughout China, and the continued growth of our localized talent force," said Kastner.
Looking into the second decade of BMW Brilliance joint venture, Kastner said that the company will continue the localization strategy yet more broadly and deeply. "Our commitment to ZINORO, to electric vehicles and 'Creation in China' are a testament to this."
With the above in mind, the year 2014 will be another year of solid progress with double-digit growth in sales, excellent quality and further consolidation of BMW Brilliance's local roots in China.
"We will look into new concepts to further enhance our brand image, new initiatives to raise customer satisfaction and customer loyalty, new projects to enhance our system efficiency, and new approaches to offer our customers a new experience of mobility. In this respect, the opening of our ZINORO brand showroom is a strong start into the Year of the Horse," said Kastner.
