A beneficiary of Japanese brands' sluggish performance in China, South Korean automaker Hyundai-Kia sold 13,132 vehicles in April, up 25.1 percent year-on-year, according to a release by the company on May 10.
The joint venture Beijing Hyundai sold 85,100 units, up 27 percent from a year ago. Another partnership, Dongfeng Yueda Kia, sold 4,622 units, up 21 percent.
