China exported 316,000 vehicles in the first four months, according to a release by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers on May 9.
The figure grew 12.7 percent year-on-year, but the increase lagged behind the overall rate of growth for the domestic market in the period. Passenger vehicles exports reached 194,200 units in the period, up 24 percent year-on-year, and sales of commercial vehicles totaled 121,900 units, a drop of 1.7 percent.
