BYD Co, a Chinese auto manufacturer, said its net profit hit 112 million yuan ($18.16 million) in the first quarter of the year, an increase of 315.63 percent compared to the same period last year.
The company's revenue increased by 9.8 percent to 12.88 billion yuan in the first quarter, according to the company's first quarterly report released on late Thursday.
