Burton to serve GAC Fiat as general manager

GAC Fiat Automobiles Co Ltd will appoint John Burton as general manager. Burton will officially take office on March 1, according to the company's newsletter.

Burton has been working in the industry for more than 40 years at many renowned automobile companies. He has abundant international market experience, having been in charge of many brands' operations in the European, American, and Asian markets.

"I'm honored to come to China, the world's largest vehicle market, and join GAC Fiat," said Burton.

The incumbent general manager, Zheng Xiancong, will be seconded to Magneti Marelli S.p.A., an accessory manufacturer affiliated to Fiat S.p.A., serving as CEO of the Greater China Region.
