TIANJIN - Actual foreign investment in North China's port city of Tianjin grew 12 percent in the first nine months to $14.2 billion.
Contracted foreign investment increased by 10.9 percent year on year in the first three quarters to hit $17.3 billion, data from the Tianjin Commerce Commission showed Monday.
Foreign direct investment (FDI) in the city's manufacturing and service industries saw steady growth.
Actual foreign investment in the manufacturing sector reached $6.3 billion in this period, up 24.5 percent year on year. Contracted foreign investment in the manufacturing sector saw a 9.2 percent increase to reach $5.05 billion.
