China stocks close lower on Friday

BEIJING - Chinese shares closed lower on Friday with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index down 0.44 percent, or 9.96 points, to finish at 2,237.11.

The Shenzhen Component Index fell 0.40 percent, or 34.11 points, to finish at 8,526.68.
