Ling Jihe, who used to be a farmer in Nanchang, East China's Jiangxi province, made his fortune by starting his business in 2008 and then returned to hometown to develop land contract to benefit farmers.
Ling offered 1.4 million yuan ($225,037) and 1.56 million yuan of year-end bonus to his contract farmers in 2013 and 2014, respectively. This year the figure jumped to 2.89 million yuan and a trip to Hainan.
