"Beautiful Binhai, livable area" was the slogan as Binhai New Area's first real estate trade fair kicked off on May 23 at Tianjin Binhai International Exhibition and Conference Center.
More than 60 companies from across the country, representing hundreds of real estate projects in Binhai New Area, took part.
Guo Fuliang, deputy director of Planning and Land Resources Administration of Binhai New Area said that with the development and opening of Binhai, its real estate market is showing an upward trend.
"Prices in Binhai New Area have shown a 25 percent increase since 2010," said Guo, "and now there are 120 real estate companies with over 450 projects that have marketing licenses and 5.6 million-square-meters of houses available for sale."
Guo added that with the integration of Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei and the possible approval of the Tianjin Free Trade Zone the fair is expected to promote the development of regional planning and urban construction in the area.
More than10 broker agencies are handling in excess of 10,000 second-hand houses at the fair which has also launched lower cost, smaller properties.
