Arte Mundi, a leading flooring producer in China, signed an agreement to partner with the China Corporate United Pavilion of Expo 2015 Milan on Wednesday.
"We choose it as our partner in a bid to let more Chinese enterprises with high quality products and strong brand influence have opportunities to exchange with their counterparts from Italy and other parts of the world," said Wei Jianhua, executive deputy director of the pavilion's executive committee.
Wei's words were echoed by Bu Lixin, chairman and chief executive officer of Arte Mundi (Shanghai) New Material Co Ltd, which has two production bases in the city with an annual capacity of 15 million square meters of wood flooring.
"Cooperating with the pavilion is part of the company's development strategy for the next three years," Bu said, adding that its purpose is to step into the global market after several years of effort.
He said being a partner with the pavilion is the company's first important step toward the global market.
Arte Mundi has formed a strategic partnership with Accor, the world's leading hotel operator, to ease its way into the US market and, at the same time, will reinforce its cooperation with Italian home furnishing enterprises for a share of the European market, Bu said.
At the signing ceremony, the pavilion opened its official website www.expo2015ccp.org, providing more information on its preparations for the expo.
