BTG celebrates 15th anniversary
Beijing Tourism Group marked its 15th anniversary by announcing that the company's value has reached an all-time high.
From 1998 to 2012, the group's total assets increased from 8.3 billion yuan ($1.3 billion) to 37.3 billion yuan in 2012, and it has grown annually by as much as 12 percent.
Its net assets climbed from 4 billion yuan in 1998 to 12.2 billion yuan in 2012, up 9 percent year-on-year on average.
Over the course of the last 15 years, its revenue grew from 2.6 billion yuan to 37 billion yuan, up 21 percent year-on-year on average, and its combined profits jumped from 100 million yuan to 1.45 billion yuan, up 22 percent year-on-year on average.
Currently, BTG ranks fifth among China's top 20 tourism groups.
Always stressing the importance of giving back to society, the company has donated nearly 30 million yuan to disaster-stricken areas, impoverished students, and people who have committed heroic acts.
