By participating in the CIFIT, WAIPA members will have the opportunity to establish communication channels with domestic and foreign government officials and representatives from business associations and enterprises, to further expand their investment promotion business, organizing committee officials said.
Meanwhile, sources with the UNIDO said it would hold the South-South Co-operation Forum, an event to promote technical co-operation among developing countries, starting next year during the CIFIT in Xiamen.
After visits to the four international organizations, the organizing committee also launched promotional activities in Russia, Italy, Germany and Britain, to attract potential visitors and buyers from European countries to the fair.
As this year marks the Year of Italy in China, the organizing committee attached more importance to attracting Italian businesses and governmental organizations to the fair.
After the promotion tour in Italy, the Italian Institute for Foreign Trade confirmed 10 exhibition booths at the upcoming CIFIT.
In late April, the CIFIT's organizing committee started its promotions in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and Thailand, which were well received by overseas Chinese, industry and commerce circles, and the media of the countries.
The promotional team successively visited 22 overseas Chinese associations, 12 business organizations and a number of key overseas Chinese entrepreneurs, enhancing CIFIT's relations with major industry and commerce institutes in these countries.
