The concept of a smart home is not new, but smart home hardware development based on Internet of Things (IoT) has been red-hot for the last two years.
At this year's CES Asia held in Shanghai, domestic companies, including Nanjing-based IoT sensor manufacturer Wulian Co Ltd; JD.com Inc; Fujian-based Internet security maker Chuango Security Technology Corp; and China major mobile carrier China Mobile's IoT arm have all presented a great range of smart home related hardwares from smart home building solutions to smart home ecosystems.
