Chery Automobile has launched the Arrizo 5 developed on its all-new second-generation platform. The latest sedan is designed to match the quality and technology level of international carmakers.
The Chinese brand has developed a new Life Motion design language, which has for the first time been applied to this model.
The Arrizo 5 demonstrates handling, technology and quality that has reached a new level and surpassed that of the compact segment, according to the company.
The new model has 10 variants powered by a 1.5-liter engine that achieves a maximum 116 horsepower, and torque that peaks at 141 Nm. Two transmission options are available - a five-speed manual or seven-speed continuously variable transmission.
The manual variants will notify the driver of the appropriate gear, while the CVT version enables economy or sport modes.
Thanks to the light-weight technology, the versions equipped with the Intelligent Start-Stop system and Alternator Management System only consume 5.4 liters of fuel per 100 kilometers.
The new sedan has followed the China New Car Assessment Program five-star safety guideline from its initial design stage. The Arrizo 5 is equipped with the Electronic Stability Program as standard, with more proactive safety technologies as options.
Targeting the younger generation, the Clouddrive 2.0, with 8-inch touch screen and built-in wireless connectivity function, makes the infotainment system smarter for the driver and passengers.
