Priced at 235,000 yuan, the smart ed is the first full electric vehicle to be launched in China by a European manufacturer.
In addition to introducing a host of outstanding products this year, Mercedes-Benz has also displayed numerous cutting-edge technologies and an array of after-sales initiatives.
"Since BMBS began operations, we have laid a good foundation for sustained growth. Since March, we have witnessed eight months of consecutive growth with a 15 percent increase in sales compared with the same period last year," said Nicholas Speeks, president and CEO of BMBS.
"We enhanced our customer-oriented strategy and have fostered a closer relationship with Chinese customers, as well as further strengthened cooperation with our dealer partners. All these are important as we look to continue sustainable growth for our brand in China," added Speeks.
"At the same time, we continue to relentlessly expand our dealer network in China with a focus on further penetrating into regional markets, as well as work with dealers on initiatives to improve our customer service, to ensure that our partnerships are fruitful," said Li.
"We are confident about the momentum we've built this year, and look forward to 2014," said Speeks.
