Beijing-based BAIC Group plans to integrate its off-road business into a new subsidiary in 2015 to facilitate growth in the SUV segment, according to domestic media reports last week. The company now makes the B40 SUV along with military-style off-road vehicles, pickup trucks and special-purpose vehicles.
