Tencent CEO Ma Huateng once claimed that innovation-driven companies have been more concerned than ever with long-run technological changes, particularly in artificial intelligence, automatic driving, and robots.

The firm established the AI Lab recently with the aim to create smart tools, similar to "Baymax", through research on general artificial intelligence, which will understand adolescents, protect adults, and look after the elderly.
