9. A new national standard for energy efficiency of gas water heaters released by the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine and the Standardization Administration of the People's Republic of China will come into effect from June 1. Energy efficiency has become one of the core criteria for gas water heaters.
