Wang webcasts almost every day with over five hours each day and his wife, also a hostess of game webcast, works with him. Wang makes a living by webcast, from which he gets paid by webcast company and also get money cashed in virtual gifts given by his audience or fans. Wang Taotao is just one among nearly a million web celebrities hosting webcast in China. Behind this are growing numbers of game players. It is estimated that China has over five hundred million game players. In 2015, China's online games companies got revenues of 89.12 billion yuan ($13.36 billion) in the first three quarters, up 33.9 percent from that of the same period of 2014.
