The burgeoning Internet market triggered fears over surging security threats. Along with smart technologies and connection comes hacks, breaches, and information leaks exploiting flaws and vulnerabilities at devices, software, platforms, and cars from almost all directions, backed by new information technologies such as cloud computing and the Internet of Things.

Cybersecurity has become an increasingly crucial issue that needs to be solved with world's concerted efforts. A PwC report showed a Chinese company had to respond to more than 1,200 security cases on average this year, five times higher than in 2014.
