Yonyou Software Co Ltd, the largest enterprise software provider in the Asia-Pacific region by sales, announced its new cloud strategy on April 23, which involves transforming itself from a financial software maker to a cloud service solution provider.
The Shanghai-listed company, formally known as UFIDA Software Co Ltd, launched a cloud platform that combines enterprise software, including financial software, micro blog software and supply chain management software.
The platform is expected to have 100,000 users by the end of this year and more than 10 million by 2014, said CEO Wang Wenjing.
More than 1,000 apps can be found on the platform now and the number will increase to 1,500 by the end of this year.
According to Wang, the company will place greater emphasis on exploring overseas cloud computing markets in the next few years.
"From 2012, we will have a new strategy on overseas markets such as Europe, the United States and Africa, our aim is to have overseas markets account for about 10 percent of the company's total sales revenue in the next few years," Wang said.
Last year, the company had 1.2 million clients and about 4 billion yuan ($63 million) in sales revenue.
