Ningbo supports auto electronic industry

The Ningbo Economic and Technical Development Zone Auto Electronic Research Institute, which was established on December 18, will support the auto parts industry in the zone and in Ningbo City.

The Ningbo Economic and Technical Development Zone has more than 40 auto and auto parts enterprises with more than 7,000 employees and a total sales revenue of nearly four billion yuan (US$511.61 million) in 2005, which is expected to reach five billion yuan in 2006.

Currently, there are some leading auto and auto parts enterprises in the zone such as Geely Automobile Holdings Ltd, Ningbo Xintai Machines Co Ltd, Ningbo Tuopu Group and Ningbo Deye Technology Group.
