Shaanxi aims to foster more famous brands

Shaanxi Fast Auto Drive Group Co Ltd is one of the examples to show the benefits of the quality management system verification.

Thirty-eight years ago, the company was a producer of auto gear wheels. Today, it has won a number of honour. Its heavy-duty transmission enjoys the largest market share in China. It is the largest manufacturing base for heavy-duty transmissions and exporting base for gears in China.

Since 1998, the company has passed the verification of ISO9001 and QS9000 and won the “Global Supplier Excellence Award” of Eaton Corporation of the United States.

In five years, its exports jumped from US$5.01 million in 2001 to US$45.11 million in 2005.

Last year, the provincial government actively guided enterprises to set up and improve quality management system, standardization system and metrological management system. All these efforts aim to help enterprises to enhance the level of product quality and the competitiveness.

Currently, among the scaled enterprises in Shaanxi, 63 per cent have passed the ISO9000 quality management system verification and 45.76 per cent have adopted international standard in their production.
