The Sagitar from Volkswagen's joint venture with FAW Group is equipped with a 1.4-liter TSI, four-cylinder in-line engine that generates maximum power of 96kW/5,000rpm and boasts peak torque of 220Nm/1,750-3,500rpm.

The compact sedan accelerates from zero to 100 km per hour in 10.2 seconds. It has two transmission options: 5-speed automatic and 7-speed DSG (double-shift gearbox).

The 5-speed automatic version has a top speed of 203 km per hour and consumes 5.5 liter of gasoline per 100 km at a constant speed of 90 km per hour. The 7-speed DSG version's top speed stands at 200 km per hour and its fuel consumption is 5.8 liter per 100 km.

The Sagitar 1.4 retails between 148,800 and 169,800 yuan. Its length, width and height are 4,544, 1,760 and 1,461 mm respectively.

It has a 2,578-mm wheelbase. The compact sedan goes head-to-head with lots of other brands' domestically made models, such as Ford Focus, Peugeot 307 and Mazda3.

The seven-seat MPV from Chery has three engine options: 1.8 liters four-cylinder, 1.9 liters TDDI (turbo diesel) four-cylinder and 2.0 liters four-cylinder.

The 1.9-liter TDDI produces maximum power of 93kW/4,000rpm. With a six-speed manual gearbox, the version boasts peak torque of 271Nm/1,400-3,250rpm.

The 1.9-liter Rely V5 has a top speed of 184 km per hour and accelerates from zero to 100 per hour in 13.8 seconds. Meeting the National IV emission standard, it consumes 6.5 liters of diesel per 100 km at a constant speed of 90 km per hour.

The Rely V5, which retails between 109,800 and 149,800 yuan, mainly competes with Citroen Picasso, the Freema from Haima Auto and Volkswagen Touran. The model is 4,662 mm long, 1,820 wide and 1,590 mm high with a 2,800-mm wheelbase.
