Beijing Foreign Studies University organized a survey of Guangdong province for its foreign experts from January 8 to 12. The activity was meant to help foreign experts learn more about China and Lingnan culture.

The survey consists of three parts—visits to schools and enterprises, and cultural experience activities. The foreign experts visited two schools in Foshan, which were co-constructed by Beijing Foreign Studies University, and learned about their establishment, teaching features and approaches.

Foshan is a well-known manufacturing city with many famous companies in the Pearl River delta economic zone. The foreign experts visited the Sino-German Industrial Services Zone, and learned about Fosan’s economic development and prospects for international cooperation. Some of the experts were amazed by the city’s fast development, and hoped that their own countries will cooperate with Foshan in the future.
The experts visited Midea group, and learned about its history and intelligent manufacturing technology. At Jianlibao Group, they took in the beverage production line and tasted some of the company’s products.
Foshan is also a famous historical and cultural city from which the Lingnan culture originated. It is renowned as the “capital of global food”. The experts made sure to visit several historical and cultural spots, and to taste local dishes.
In addition to Foshan, the experts also visited ZTE, a famous communication group in Shenzhen, China's special Economic Zone for reform and opening-up, and learned about its intelligent design ideas and products.
After the survey trip the foreign experts said they have learned so much about the development of the southeastern part of China, and expressed a desire to do their part to support the development of Beijing Foreign Studies University.
