As Beijing enters autumn and temperature changes, trees in the Badaling National Forest Park are turning red, decorating the Badaling Great Wall in splendid landscapes of red color.

The mountain is flat and it takes only 20 minutes to climb to the top to see the magnificence of the ancient Great Wall. There are smoke, maple and persimmon trees.

In the Red Leaves Valley scenic spot of the Badaling National Forest Park, the leaves have bright colors, turn red very early and close to visitors. The scenic spot is the earliest place in Beijing to see red leaves, about half month earlier than downtown, thanks to the high altitude and flourishing forest, which is five degrees centigrade cooler than downtown. The leaves begin to turn red from Sept 24 to Nov 4, and middle October is the best time to visit.
