More than 50 artistic works integrating modern art and Chinese classical culture went on display in Beijing's Summer Palace, the largest and most well-preserved royal park in China, on Oct 14.

The exhibition consists of landscapes and modern paintings, lacquerwork pieces, photography, and modern furniture and sculpture.

The Summer Palace Administrative Office, sponsor of the event, said the exhibition, by combining Chinese traditional culture and modern art, promotes the integration of tourism with culture and art, bringing a richer experience to tourists.

Situated in the Haidian district northwest of Beijing, Summer Palace is a treasury of Chinese traditional culture. Its art legacies nurture China's modern art that has its own features in techniques, materials, and topics.

The exhibition will run through one month.
