In the last 15 years, since the launch of the "Meet in Beijing" Arts Festival, there have been more than ten thousand artists, coming from hundreds of different countries in the world, who have participated by presenting their talents at this arts festival. As one of the volunteers, Mr. Yu Zhang has written a poem to celebrate this anniversary.

"Hundreds of countries will meet in Beijing; people will sing and dance to celebrate it. The Modern Silk Road will connect the West and East; we all wish this world to be peaceful and prosperous."

In 2000, the "Meet in Beijing" Arts Festival was initiated in this ancient and modern city. As of 2015, 30,000 artists, coming from 5 continents and 115 different countries, have been taking the stage to perform and welcome the beautiful spring season with millions of Beijing citizens in the month of May.

During the last 15 years, the "Meet in Beijing" Arts Festival has presented Beijing Opera, Chinese folk dance, Western opera, Europe modern dance, Broadway musical comedies, Irish stepdance, Mexican country dance, and Spanish flamenco in Beijing's premiere venues, such as theaters, exhibition centers, parks, and public squares.

Let us continue to "Meet in Beijing", and let our dream continue. [Photos provided to Chinaculture.org]
