An international arts festival held yearly in Beijing. The festival aims at promoting cultural exchanges by presenting Chinese culture while introducing international arts.
Festival events and programs take place throughout Beijing and its suburbs.For example, the National Centre for the Performing Arts, Poly Theatre,Tsinghua University, PLA Theater. We also produce live concerts or music festivals in the National Stadium, Chaoyang Stadium, Tongzhou Canal Park and the Capital Steel Factory.
It consists of indoor events, including opera, dance, music, drama and exhibition as well as outdoor events, such as music and dance.
The festival is hosted by China’s Ministry of Culture, Beijing Municipality Government and the State Administration of Radio, Film and Television. The Festival was inaugurated in 2000 and held from late April to the end of May annually.

World's artists meet in Beijing The 15th Meet in Beijing Arts Festival is about to hit the capital. From April 23 to May 30, the large-scale international event will see 42 art troupes and 104 bands from 25 countries and regions perform more than 100 indoor shows and 50 outdoor galas. The festival opens with a performance by dancers from the National Ballet of China, including Ma Xiaodong and Wang Ye, and American Ballet Theater principal dancer Isabella Boylston and Boston Ballet principal dancer Paulo Arrais. |
Richmond Ballet announces China tour The Richmond Ballet of Virginia announced Monday that it will perform at the 15th Annual "Meet in Beijing" Arts Festival during its China tour running from May 17 to June 1. The trip will mark the Ballet's first-ever journey to Asia, during which it will conduct a series of performances and cultural exchange programs in such Chinese cities as Beijing, Shanghai, Jinan and Dezhou, the troupe's artistic director Stoner Winslett told reporters at the Chinese Embassy to the United States. |
National Ballet of China, American Ballet Theater and Boston Ballet are working in a collaboration for the first time to present Swan Lake, choreographed by legendary Russian prima ballerina Natalia Makarova. At the opening performance for the 15th Meet in Beijing Arts Festival, the country's first major art festival, principal dancer Isabella Boylston from the American Ballet Theater and principal dancer Paulo Arrais from the Boston Ballet will share the stage with Chinese ballet dancers Ma Xiaodong and Wang Ye at the National Center for the Performing Arts on April 23 and 24. |
