The International Olympic Committee, or IOC, has sent its evaluation team on a five day mission to inspect Beijing and Zhangjiakou's joint bid for the 2022 Winter Olympic Games.
On March 23, Chairman of the Evaluation Commission Alexander Zhukov arrived in Beijing and all representatives of the commission are now in the capital city.
The commission is tasked with conducting on-site evaluations of all proposed venues in Beijing and Zhangjiakou from March 24.
Beijing's joint bid with Zhangjiakou enters the decisive phase this month. The IOC will vote for the host city between Beijing and its only rival, Almaty in Kazakhstan, on July 31.
