A large rosewood model of the Beijing city during ancient times is on display at the Capital Museum in Beijing on January 13, 2015. The model, made from tons of precious Red Sanders, was created to mark the 3,060th anniversary of the capital city's establishment. The model is 18.6 meters long, 16.8 meters wide and 1.5 meters high, showing the ancient city walls and nine gate towers during the early Qing Dynasty. [Photo/China News Service] |
