A stage play adapted on the basis of the TV cartoon series Big Head Son and Small Head Dad will soon meet young theater goers as of this coming Saturday.

The China Puppet Art Theatre designs the live performance of a story around how Big Head Son's family and two of his close friends celebrate his birthday.

Kid audiences are expected to learn from big head son who is very clever, and happy to help others. Whenever he encounters difficulties in a game or in life, he finds a solution all by himself.

The title "big head son" and "small head dad" comes from the nicknames of a little boy and his father which were given because of their special physical characteristics.

The cartoon Big Head Son and Small Head Dad, which made it's television debute in 1995 debute, has many series. The live stage performances will be given on the basis of a cooperation deal reached in May between the theatre and CCTV Animation Inc.
