APEC informal leaders' meeting to attract 350 Chinese entrepreneurs to Peru
LIMA - Around 1,300 entrepreneurs are expected to arrive in Peru during the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) informal leaders' meeting to be held on Nov 19-20, a Peruvian minister said at the APEC Peru 2016 symposium Tuesday.
The entrepreneurs come from different sectors of the APEC's 21 member economies and are known for their trading activity, said Peruvian Minister for Foreign Trade and Tourism Eduardo Ferreyros.
A Chinese group made up of 350 entrepreneurs representing different productive sectors is expected to arrive, said Ferreyros.
The minister highlighted the importance of holding the APEC forum in Lima, saying it will be the right moment to present Peruvian attractions in tourism, natural resources and business opportunities.
Ferreyros said Peru is expected to end 2016 with a 3.7-percent average growth in gross domestic product (GDP), surpassing the 2015 figure of 2.7 percent.
