2 injured in Russian oil tank fire

IRKUTSK, Russia - Two people were injured as an oil tank with 20 tons of petrol caught fire Tuesday in Russia's Siberian city of Krasnoyarsk.

The explosion and fire occurred at about 11:45 am local time (0345 GMT). Flames sprang up to 8 meters high, and the smoke was visible from all parts of the city, Itar-Tass news agency reported.

Two oil storage depot workers were hospitalized with burns. There is no further information about their conditions.

The fire, reaching 150 square meters, has been extinguished.
