SEOUL - Glynn Davies, US special envoy on the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, is scheduled to visit the Republic of Korea Thursday as part of his Asian tour, officials said.

Davies will be on a three-day trip involving consultations on regional and DPRK issues with his ROK's counterparts, including chief nuclear envoy Lim Sung-nam and presidential security advisor Chun Young-woo.

His trip comes after a stop in Japan for trilateral talks on DPRK policy coordination, which brought together Lim and Japan's nuclear envoy Shinsuke Sugiyama.

The envoy is to return home on Saturday.
