TOKYO - The Japanese central government rejected Tokyo metropolitan government's application of landing on Diaoyu Islands for alledged survey on Monday, local media reported.

Japanese central government does not allow any citizen landing on Diaoyu Islands for security reasons, local media said.

The central government accepted the Tokyo metropolitan government's request last Tuesday. Japanese Chief Cabinet Secretary Osamu Fujimura is going to have a news conference on Monday afternoon to explain the detail.
