Iran to sell 20,000 cars to Ukraine

TEHRAN - An Iranian carmaker company plans to sell 20,000 cars to Ukraine, the English language Tehran Times daily reported on Wednesday.
Iran Khodro Company (IKCO) plans to boost enormously the export of its Samand cars to Ukraine in the near future, said the daily.
Managing Director of IKCO Javad Najmeddin said Tuesday that the company plans to surge its Samand exports to Ukraine to 20,000 per annum.
IKCO has exported totally 5,600 Samands to Ukraine during 2005- 2009, Najmeddin was quoted as saying.
IKCO is taking part in Iran's first exclusive exhibition in Ukraine which is held in Kiev October 18-24, 2011.
IKCO also demonstrates its two latest sedans i.e. Dena and Runna in the show, according to the report.
These two cars are accompanied by Soren ELX sedan powered by the turbo-charged EF7 engine and also Samand LX sedan supplied by TU5 engine.
Iran considers Ukraine as a potential market for its car products.
According to Tehran Times, fifty Iranian companies are to showcase their products and services at Iran's exclusive exhibition in the Ukrainian capital of Kiev.
