SEOUL - Senior diplomats from China, Japan and the Republic of Korea (ROK) on Saturday held their fifth round of trilateral consultation in ROK's Jeju Island.
During the meeting, the three parties discussed the future direction of the three-nation cooperation, and exchanged views on arrangement of this year's meetings and events within the trilateral cooperation framework, and major regional and international issues of common concern.
The three parties agreed that, in line with the consensus reached by leaders of China, Japan and ROK, the three nations will make efforts to deepen their cooperation in various fields, strengthen the good momentum of the trilateral cooperation, enrich the connotation of the partnership among the three nations and push the trilateral cooperation forward to gain more progress.
ROK is the coordinating country of the three-way cooperation in 2010. It will host the third trilateral leaders' meeting of China, Japan and ROK, and the fourth three-way foreign ministers meeting.
