6.2-magnitude quake hits Turkey: USGS

WASHINGTON - An earthquake measuring 6.2 magnitude on the Richter scale hit near Elazig, Turkey, on early Monday, the US Geological Survey (USGS) reported.

The powerful quake struck 21 km south southwest of Elazig at a depth of 11 km, the USGS said.
