China is expanding its search for possible infections after the mainland's second A(H1N1) flu case was discovered. A 19-year-old Chinese student, surnamed Lv, is in Jinan, capital of Shandong province for quarantine and treatment.

Health officials in Jinan say Lv is recovering and his temperature now is normal.

Lv arrived in Beijing aboard Air Canada flight AC029 on Friday.

Beijing health authorities have reached the 15 people they were seeking who came to Beijing on the same flight with Lv.

10 of them are under medical observation.

Meanwhile, four other people who were in close contact with him during the flight are under medical observation in Tianjin, including Lv's girlfriend.

Health authorities in Shandong say they have reached 19 of the passengers who rode in the same carriage as Lv on the trip from Beijing to Jinan on Monday.

Eighteen of them are receiving medical observation at home, and the last one was sent back to Beijing for quarantine.

Meanwhile, officials say another 22 passengers from that carriage travelled only as far as Cangzhou, in Hebei province.

Local health departments now are busy tracking down those people.
