Pakistan husband cuts off wife's nose for alleged infidelity

ISLAMABAD -- A husband has cut off her wife's nose on allegations of having affairs with another man in southern Pakistan, said police on Monday.

A man named Jalnar Mamdani chopped off his wife Asia Mamdani's nose with a sharp-edged tool in Sukkur of Sindh province, after accusing her of having relations with another man, local police told reporters.

The man escaped with his two children after the incident.

The wife was later shifted to Sukkur hospital where her surgery was carried out, reports said.

Police said that they are hunting for the husband and he would soon be arrested.
