Full-spread advertisements of a grinning, T-shirt-clad Obama, who was to be sworn in Tuesday as America's first black American president, appeared in national dailies wrapped in a quilt and snoozing on a mattress.

"With nothing but a funny name and an awesome dream, you've shown the world that if we can dream it, YES WE CAN achieve it," read the tagline by the Mouka mattress firm, playing on Obama's famous rallying cry as it congratulated the arrival of the United States' first African-American president.
