Vietnam coal mine collapse kills eight , 20 injured

HANOI - A coal mine collapse in northern Vietnam has killed at least eight workers and injured 20 others, authorities said on Monday.

The accident occurred early on Monday at a mine operated by top coal miner Vinacomin in Cam Pha town in the coal hub province of Quang Ninh, the Quang Ninh Provincial People's Committee said in a statement.

Rescuers were still searching for one miner missing in the collapse, state media reported.
