China pledges continued support to Syria

DAMASCUS - Chinese ambassador to Syria, Qi Qianjin, said Monday that China is carrying on with providing Syria with humanitarian aid worth $70 million.
The ambassador made the remarks during his meeting with head of the National Commission for the Syrian Science Olympiad, Imad al-Azab.
During the meeting, the Chinese ambassador also provided the Commission with a batch of computers to support its work and activities.
Qi said that China is interested in enhancing the cooperation with Syria in the fields of training cadres and education through official channels or NGOs.
Meanwhile, al-Azab stressed the importance of exchanging visits between the two sides to sign joint cooperation agreements in the scientific field.
