Emirates plane makes crash landing at Dubai airport, passengers safe

DUBAI - A plane of Dubai's state-owned Emirates Airline flying from Thiruvananthapuram, India, to Dubai made a crash-landing at Dubai International Airport on Wednesday, local media reported.
According to Dubai daily Gulf News, all passengers have been "escorted to safety." Black smoke can be seen in footage of the crash site, which has been cordoned off.
Emirates, on its Twitter account, confirmed that "an incident" happened at the Dubai Airport at 12:45 local time (0845 GMT).
Gulf News said there is currently no take-off or landing at the airport.
