National Beauty wraps up North America Tour in Toronto

In the absence of ten years of North America, China National Song & Dance Troupe, a world- acclaimed dance company, wrapped up its 2016 North American Tour on April 24 at Metro Toronto Convention Centre's John Bassett Theatre in Toronto, after 14 shows throughout the United States and Canada, including cities in Seattle, Vancouver, San Francisco, Oakland, San Jose, Los Anegeles, Las Vegas, Dallas, Houston, Washington and New York.

National Beauty is a dance poem inspired by the colors of white-and-blue porcelain, bamboo painting, the art of calligraphy and the tea ceremony, and traditional Chinese medicine. The nature of National Beauty derives from the concept of freehand and realism painting, reflecting the intrinsic elegance of poetry, calligraphy, rites, and music. The dance poem highlights the magnificence of a great country just as the ink and blank scrolls absorb the artistry of painting. National Beauty resembles a colorful flowing poem – a moving painting. It carries forward the Chinese culture through the beauty of colors and celebrates the oriental elegance and prosperity of China.
