BEIJING - The Red Cross Society of China on Tuesday dispatched a rescue team to Ecuador for earthquake relief.
The team consists of eight members experienced in quake relief operations. They will hand out relief materials to the local people, help them assemble tents and facilities, and provide them life-support training.
After a 7.8-magnitude earthquake hit coastal Ecuador on April 16, the Red Cross Society of China immediately offered relief cash of 100,000 U.S.dollars to the affected people.
