4. Memories torn — RICHMOND HILL
Tamaki Matsuoka (standing), a renowned Japanese expert on the Nanjing Massacre, speaks at a book launch for Torn Memories of Nanjing hosted by ALPHA Education on April 16 in Richmond Hill. The book, she said, not only serves to reaffirm the existence of the Nanjing Massacre, but more importantly gives a voice to the silenced victims and an opportunity for perpetrators to make peace with their past.
