5. Dedicated service — TORONTO

Stephen Lindley, grandson of physician Norman Bethune, receives the Certificate of Peace Medal on behalf of Bethune presented by the Committee of Commemorating the 70th Anniversary of WWII in Asia on Aug 13 in Toronto. This certificate recognized outstanding and dedicated service in the Asia theatre during World War II, fighting the Japanese invaders, protecting peace and promoting friendship between the people of Canada and China.
