Chinese top political advisor calls for further improvement of Sino-Indonesian ties

JAKARTA - Visiting top Chinese political advisor Yu Zhengsheng said on Monday that he expects that the China-Indonesia bilateral relations will be further improved.
Yu, Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), told a press conference after meeting with Zulkifli Hasan, chairman of the People's Consultative Assembly of Indonesia, that the purpose of this visit is to promote the mutual political trust of Chinese and Indonesian leaders.
Yu said he hope this visit can boost the bilateral cultural and people-to-people exchanges, and further improve the friendship and comprehensive cooperation between the two countries.
Hailing the strong momentum of the China-Indonesia relations, Hasan told media that the bilateral cooperation in all fields are sound and deepening.
He said Yu's visit reflects that relations between the two countries are becoming better and better.
Also on Monday, Yu met with Setya Novanto, chairman of Indonesia's House of Representatives, and exchanged views on bilateral economic cooperation.
Yu arrived in Indonesia Saturday on the second-stop of his tour following Thailand.
